need to get parking light to work I not sure there is power coming out the switch for them...... Right now the only way I can get them to work is by hooking them to low beams and the you cannot see them flash. I am using a gm switch from late 70 gm. would i be any better off buying a after market switch. also dont seem to be able to power gauge light or dim them. thank

Sounds like you have the signal light filament hooked to the light switch instead of the part(dim, small filament) I'm sure you already have a diagram and I'm not sure yours is like the one in the link below from another post on HAMB but it might help.....

Maybe match the writing on your wires to the terminals with the same name as on the switch.

GM headlight switches of that vintage require 2 power feeds, one unfused that powers the headlight circuit breaker that's built in to the switch, another fused wire that powers everything else. Never used a Rebel but the last harness I installed wanted you to put jumper between the two power terminals, I changed it to the way GM wanted it but what I'm saying is check that you have the two power feeds to the switch. If I was home I could post a diagram.

I second the jumper. AAW has it in the harness already but some require you to add it. Re check the directions
