Ok, its midday Sunday and I'm laid up and bored out of my mind so here goes!
This I think has been up before, it's the old Monogram 32 Roadster the one with hard plastic wheels and no windscreen from the early 60s.

And a slightly O/T 32 Roadster built up to be a slot car dragster......

Ok, not much but at least a start to the Sunday Models Mob!! ;):D

This is a 'throw together' of parts I dug out of the spare/leftovers box. I am not a fan of the car rear sections being used like this but its better than just leaving the parts to gather dust.

Not sure what the chassis is from, but it was made using a front half of a chassis from some model and the rear half from another. Cab is Monogram 37 Ford.
The rear section I think is 61' Chev but no idea what kit, all I had was what you see!

Ford Freak, that is a nice clean build. I didn't notice the two tone paint in the first pic (Duh!) but did in the second pic.........Go figure huh?? What particular colours did you use for that, I quite like them especially the top side gold.
I think we may have the same problem when photographing our models, the paint finish often seems dull. Though you can see that the model has a good finish it just didn't show up in the pic, drives me crazy! All that work and you cant show it off for how good it truly is!

    Cheers mate,
    Doc.

No not this time mate, at least I don't think so..........but then again these pain pills..........

Just dealing with the effects of the last chute failure. I don't know what's worse, just waiting it out or enduring the Physio Terrorist:D:p.

    Cheers,
    Doc.

    Heres a 32 ford I just finshed. Its in 1/87 scale. I
lowered it by bending the fenders up, sectioning the body. Cut the side hood off, put a LS1 motor in. Put PE parts on it from Pitstop Custom, grill, tail lights and Steering wheel. Put the headlights upside down, now it's rockin and Rollin.

So, the moonshiners upgraded their '39 and '40 Fords to something fresher and more powerful. Both Ford and Chevy offered up the kind of vehicle that could haul a good amount of 'shine, and the engines were much stronger. They went for the basic models and but with the most powerful engine the manufacturer offered. So, which one did the haulers buy and which one did the law enforcement buy......?

Thanks Doc . The car is painted all the same shade of gold. If it looks two-tone to you its probably the way the light hit it when I took the pic. Yeah, it drives me nuts too ! BTW , its Duplicolor laquer, (don't know the #) w/ Testors clear enamel over it.

  25. I'm currently working on a couple large (1:16 scale) Chevys. Here are some in progress pics of the '57 convertible I bought "built" from an ebay auction.

Pics 1 and 2 show pretty much how it arrived:

This is the progress so far. I'm also scratchbuilding some tail lamp lenses from styrene. No pics of these yet - too rough still.

The scale on the shop equipment is 1/25. On the shear is a piece of aluminum flashing looks about right for scale plate.
