I am Starting my teardown of my 51 chevy pickup and would appreciate any advice as this is my first full rebuild. I plan on going for the mostly stock look while adding a few modern conveniences such as updating the rear end gear ratio and adding power brakes. I have a full pressure 235 with hydraulic lifters to replace my original 216 and adding a little umph while keeping that stock look.
Welcome from another Nebraska fng, love 50 chevy trucks we had a lot of them. They were cheap in the 70s. There is one for sale on highway 75 in Ft Calhoun if you get up that way looks like a 48. Good luck with your build.
Naw I am in Calhoun it's a 49 and they are askin too much for her I am waiting for the price to go down looks like there are some good parts on her.
