IF it is a small block Chevy, the YS code indicates a 65-68 327 manual transmission, 4bbl carb installed in a Series 10, 20, or 30 TRUCK. First three years were 220hp, last year was 240hp.
IF it is not a small block Chevy, I have no clue either

My mistake. Its a small block chevy, has a 4bbl cast iron intake on it with a breather tube. Its got about 6 inches on grease on it so I'm still looking for numbers. The balancer seems to be skinny so I thought 283 at first. Guy claims its a 327 but I have had zero luck locating any info

Chevy engine codes do not identify the trans model on a manual application. However, most 1 ton (series 30) were an M20 4 sp. it is a 327 engine

What heads? Get a casting number and date code from under the valve cover
