1932 BB Truck parts, interchangeability

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chopshop13, Jun 10, 2013.

  1. Hi im about to buy a complete BB front end on ebay my intention is to use it as the basis for my hotrod.
The seller has informed me that it might not be compatable with other ford parts if at all. example i want to put 37-48 spindles on it, is that going to be possible?
Ive searched this and am still unsure.
    heres a pivc.

Nothing on that BB will interchange with a p***enger car. Don't waste your time/money.

I think hes talking about interchanging with later 1 1/2 ton trucks
There is a thread on this about a week ago

  5. I don't think much will be useable and by the time you spent the time to figure it out you would be better off starting with car components.

Agreed, I had one, nothing is the same with cars/ light trucks, too big, too heavy. Probably worth more for s**** weight, not much demand for the stuff.

Not worth the time invested, free doesn't necessarily mean a good deal and having to pay for this one is worse.

  8. I don't know, I have a '33 Ford 1-ton posted for sale for a friend and I've had a couple guys get a hardon over it who have wanted to build it as a 1-ton truck - of course, they want to offer pennies on the dollar for it, too, and I've told them all to pound sand because the cab and nose will go right on a pickup frame and the rest can frankly go to s**** for all I care - and it's priced based on that. So apparently there are a few guys who like this stuff.

I would have thought that the wishbones and maybe axle were usable- make or machine parts to fit - isn't that what hot rodders (sometimes) do ? really depends on what you want.
