Hey guys had a couple questions, I have a 56 f100 and puting the disc brake kit on from speedway and was wondering what master cylinder can I use out of a junk yard cause I can't afford a new one. I wana get the front end back together and mount the cab for under 800 dollars is that possible

From the U Pull it I got a jeep Cherokee hanging pedal, pedal mount, manual brake switch, booster and master and the proportioning valve for $42. The master is used but works good

Most of the ones you see for sale as the kits are early mustang 1" bore dual feed.

I use a Disc / Drum master from a 1974 Maverick in these builds, They are about $32.00 NEW (not rebuilt) from NAPA. There is no way in hell I'd use some old junk yard master without rebuilding it first, and by the time you pull one, buy it, get the rebuild kit, how much are you really saving over that $32.00 ???
    It's brakes for god's sake!

I totally agree. Don't waste your time with a junk yard M/C. New ones are cheap and will give you way less headache.

I'm building a 53 F100 (not on here) & plan on using 84-88 or 90-94 Jeep Cherokee hanging pedal set up W/ new master cylinder, But it's gotta be the square Cherokee -not Grand or Laredo! I met an ole timer who's already done his (6yrs back)

    New master cylinder..

No, I run them Manual, if the brake pedal is the right length and ratio, the pedal pressure is fine.

I'm going bounce this back up-sense I was given a master cylinder W/booster, but it's for 4 wheel disc & I need to make it work for 4 wheel drum (for now)It has 1 inch bore.

Add 10 pound residual valves to the lines.
