Will a 60 Lincoln steering wheel mount directly to a 58 Ford or Thunderbird column ? yes or no?

chevk to see if grant adapters fit both. If they do then it will fit.Not idiot proof due to them having different depths but more than likely it will fit

    It should.

While we're at it, seeing as I just fixed the steering wheel on my 60 Lincoln....

The horn ring doesn't come off without removing the steering wheel first, you undo the center ****on (turn counterclockwise).

The horn doesn't use a spring, it uses a circular rubber pad. Yours is bad; they're all bad. Replacements aren't available. Go to sears Hardware and buy 1/2" grey tubular foam insulation, push that into the groove of the rubber ring and then put it all back together. Take VERY careful notice of the plastic insulators on the square bracket.

Failing to do that will cause the horn to honk whenever you turn the steering wheel.
