I have a 1936 truck 1/2 ton cab that needs a frame. Found a humpback frame locally.
Would this be ok to use? What are the differences?

I think if they are the same wheelbase, it should work. Might have to work out the cab mounts.

In the 37 Dodge parts book there is only one frame listed for all 1/2 tons so I would think you would be OK, can't be much difference in 36.

  4. I don't know about trucks, but in 1937 dodge cars all used the same frame, body mounts were in different places, but the holes were all pre-punched, so it was just a matter of busting rivets and moving the mounts when I used a 4 dr frame under my 2 dr.
I would ***ume that trucks were the same way.

Does that mean all the humpbacks were rated as 1/2 tons?

No, if you can check the wheelbase 1/2 tons were 116", everything bigger was 120" and longer. Reading further in my parts book looks like there was only 2 "panels" the 1/2 ton at 116" and a 1 ton at 136".
