Which motor should I choose?

I'm looking to get a motor for my 35 Chevy truck. I've decided to use an inline 8 and have come across several makes. Which make would give me the best bang for the buck? Buick, olds, Packard, or ??? Thanks for the help!

imopie, this question goes on the main forum and not the intro forum. You must not be going to use a hood, since a straight eight wouldn't fit under it. Buick straight eights were pretty tough in their day as was the flathead Packard 327.
