saw an advertisement in the new kustoms illustrated magazine for a new all customs show june 15, in indy. haven't heard much else about it. anybody planning on going? with so little true customs stuff around the north east anymore, a friend and i are thinking about driving out friday after work (no car, not done) but would like to know it will be worth the trip. anybody going or know anything else about it? thanks.
Saw that to, but have heard nothing about the show. Isn't that around the same time as the Road Rockets show?
The road rockets show is the following weekend. we are going, I know jack walker is coming and several others that we hung out with for years.
jack walker is supposedly bringing the hirohata clone. mark moriarity will be there with his '55 chevy, also the larry ernst chevy and at least one alexander brothers custom. hope to finally see your lincoln in person. have enjoyed the tons of custom pictures you have contributed to the hamb for many years!
Thanks, Jersey Mike, look me up you will have to find me since we will have the landmark (the Lincoln) LOL...Yes, you are right about the Jack's car, Kevin Anderson told us he is bringing the merc. Yes Moriarity is bringing the 55. I am hoping that Dave Jenkins is bringing his Alexander built chevy but have not talked to him about it. anxious to meet up with long time friends we haven't seen in several years. It won't be a huge show but will be a great reunion!!!! Main hotel is the LaQuinta on Emmerson 317-783-7751 this is for traditional customs only and there will be a separate parking area for hot rods etc.
The Zaro Merc will be there also as well. cars are registered from seven states according to the info we received a few weeks ago
I was contacted by the promoter and asked if I could bring my Shoebox Vert. I told him I'd love to but I sold it over the winter. It sounds like a cool show. He said he had some really nice Customs lined up and it was going to take place at a cool old Burger joint in Indy, If I remember correctly
More info on that sow on their website. You can also follow them on Facebook for the latest info. http://www.customcarrevival.com
Good luck to all that is involved. I really want to go to the show this year but I have a family obligation that is more important. I really hope that they do the show for years to come. I will be there next year. Please take a lot of pictures, I need a kustom fix. Happy Trails, Mick
awe darn was hoping to see you Mick!! I'll have my camera ready this was just posted on the FB page today "Was just informed that Chuck Miller builder of show rods like The Fire Truck, Red Baron, and so on will be at the CCR."

As of today, we've got 75 preregistered, from seven states. With a beautiful Saturday ahead, we might hit 100, true, traditional customs. That could make it the largest custom car show in this part of the country in nearly a decade (sad to say). Six super cars (okay & owners!) drove 10 hrs yesterday from Pittsburgh with bias tires, heavy rain, food and restroom stops. It won't be the biggest ever, of course, we're not trying to do that. Just have a lazy day with "our kind". And note, we aren't show promoters, just some guys trying to do the custom thing, the way it should be done...we hope. Tonight, off to an Indy district filled with old architecture, comic book stores, antiques, Tequila, swing dancing, big ban music, cabaret and tons of restaurants! 1) A lot of these old school custom guys are in their late 60's and '70's and don't do the HAMB or any social media, in many cases the computers, we called a couple back that were out and do not have cell phones, 2) Many of those attending are already on their way, driving, coming in early and mid afternoon.
