does anyone know of a good place to find rebuild parts for 55-57 chevy steering boxes. the one i have needs new bearing cages on the ends of the output shaft and i would assume new seals and maybe some other odds and ends

thanks to burger for giving it to me and all the effort to track me down to actually meet me

    thanks

Classic Chevy International sell all the parts. 1-800-456-1957.
I had a box that needed a total rebuild. The amount of parts I needed exceeded the cost of a rebuilt box w/exchange. Since I lived close, I just drove over and made the swap. Depending on what all you need though, a rebuild could be the way to go. Thinking about it a little bit, I think the reason mine would have been so expensive is because I needed a completely new main shaft, because the threads that held on the steering wheel were beat to hell and mushroomed to the point of unsalvagable.
