Hows it going? I just picked up my first truck. Found a 31 Chevy pick up. My dad has had hot rods and Model A's forever.. Ive been into offroading for a while and now starting my own ride. Looking forward to starting this build. Almost have it down to the frame. Its in pretty good shape for sitting next to a barn for the last 35 years.. :D

Another question. Im about ready to put the front end back together. I do want to a disc swap on the front. All I can find is 5 lug conversions. Are there 6 lug available. I called 40's Chevs and the said the dont make it. I would like to use the spoked wheels that I have. They are 6x5.5 pattern. Any thoughts ?

  7. Welcome from Connecticut...You should be able to post pictures at any time.
Here's a link to a site where you can put in your wheel bolt circle measurements and it will tell you what vehicles came with that size. Maybe you can figure something out.

Hey Phatim, try The Filling Station and Jim Carter Truck Parts for the disc brake conversions. They might have 6 lug. Keep us posted.

Talked to Steve at the Filling Station about the disc swap. He told me the reason for the 5 lug is that the rotors are from a 70;s Camaro. He told me to just buy the bracket kit instead of the whole kit to save on shipping. The bracket kit's instructions tell you what to buy. The rotors and bearings work with stock spindles.. Looks like im going to have to buy new wheels or adapters...
