Ok , hello everyone ! . I have my 350 sbc in the 54' had sanderson cc50 headers originally with stock steering , that's out the door , installed tci mii front suspension , ididit tilt column , my headers don't fit no mo'!!? , any suggestions ?? I know i need block huggers . Have edelbrock aluminum heads( e street 5089) so sanderson says their cc1-5/8 need to be dinged headers for boot clearance . Anyone have suggestion of good quality header that would work ?? Gonna post pics & have parts for sale after this cluster f. But very happy with help from all you!!!! No bs !!! Thanks!!
I just switched from the special stock susp sanderson headers to a set of Headman block hugger when I installed my MII front end. but those are on stock heads.
thanks for hit , yeah , i'm runnin these edelbrocks ,so far sanderson cc1-5/8 look good but they said the need to be "dinged" for spark plug boot clearance . they would do it , but i really would like a bolt on pair , with ceramic . thanks tho
Tri Five Fenderwell headers fit all 49 54 chevys i dont know about clearing that new column thow. Some one out there has your answer my friend goodluck.
I have heard Tri-five fenderwells fit, and I have heard that they take some modification. But I would love to know as well if anybody has done it. I also learned on here that Chevy II/Nova fenderwells may work. I'm planning on trying either the Tri five or the Nova fenderwells and see how it goes! I refuse to use block huggers so I'm kinda' rolling the dice!
Hey Guys, as strange as it sounds, this may help you both out..there is a company that makes "conversion kits " and "headers" ( available in chrome or steel finish )for a "toyota land cruiser/ chevy small block v8 swap they are 280ish raw and 360ish chromed, about 3" longer than the block and exit almost at crank center line, the co name is .something? /adapt . I found them on google after I found a set of the headers on "C" list (in the 3 pic the headers are on a modified HJ )
