Chassis Research did have a frame availble with quarter elliptic springs in a front like that and a thick ladder type frame, but it was much earlier, more like 1964 1965???
By 1969 almost all FE dragsters were pointy noses with a torsion bar supporting the front axle, not square clunky looking jobs like this one.
I have a photo from the cataloge I will see if I can find it. I think Little Wing had a thread with the photos a long time ago.
The big and ugly roll cage on it now was most likely added recently, if it was a originalRChassis research it would have been a single hoop roll bar.

Chassis Reserch LW106.... That chassis has been extended and cage redone for Cert. This chassis made around 1960 through 1964 could be purchased out of Eelco catalog.

I have a unmolested chassis that we finished back in October..

The dragster is for sale on Craigslist... The widow, when she sold the car had no idea what it was. My dragster and this one are the only two I am aware of the still exist..

In 1963 Joe Jacano set record high ET with one of these... His car was featured in a 1964 Hotrod Magazine article on Dragsters.
