I might have a late 80's world class version out of a (V-6?) Camaro buried out in my stuff in storage - Is that what you are looking for?

Let me know if it is and I'll see if it's still out there.

The new T5s are beefed up quite a bit, I guess the old T5's spontaneously disassemble when used with high horsepower applications. I have had several calls from guys looking to beef theirs up, but the case seems to be the weak part. As for the electric speedo, no need to even mess with them as Autometer is making a GPS speedometer, and the best part is you don't have to hunt for a gear everytime you want to change a tire size or a ring and pinion ratio.

  3. There is a shop that will remachine a electronic VSS tailshaft and convert it to a mechanical drive. Don't remember the name off hand, but the service costs about $200! Putting the gear on the shaft would be the next hurdle.

Not the tail shaft, the input shaft.

I need the s10 shifter location so i can keep my original seat. I would love to keep the speedo working too. With all these posts who wants to sell me one? Hahahaha! I checked ebay and only found electronic speedo ones too. :)

Ron, when we put the t-5 into my pops 36 chevy truck we searched the pick you part and ecology yards in chula vista. We had good luck there for trannys. Also when you put in the trans with the stock s-10 location, your gonna have the bend the shifter lever back quite a bit. Im not sure if i ever got those pictures of our project to you or not but let me know if you need any pointers.

How far under the seat would the rear shifter mount be? how much space do you have between the floor and the bottom of the seat? I've seen guys make up special shifter handles.
