Recently met a very nice gent by the name of Steve Hunter, son of Von Hunter. Shared some very cool stories and saw a few photos of his fathers custom work from back in the day. Just curious if anyone else had any photos to share of his dads cars and paintwork. Im a huge fan of the customizers of yore and love checking out their work. Those guys are a dying breed and we need to share their talents and ideas with the new guys before they become a lost art.
Von Hunter I believe was my bodyshop teacher at Benson Polytechnic in Portland. I know he had a beautiful 40s Chev and several spectacular vettes. I didn't realize what experience my teacher had or I would have paid much closer attention. I believe he mentioned apprenticing with George Barris. Mr. Hunter was a very cool teacher.
