Im going to be relocating a fuel cell under the truck between the frame rails on my 65 Chevy.I just got the truck and the previous owner put a late model engine alone with other late model things including a fuel pump.he put the fuel pump under the hood on the inter fender well.I remember reading something about the fuel pump needing to be closer to the fuel tank and either higher or lower than the tank.can some refresh my memory on where im suppose to mount the pump

Mine is installed under the truck on the frame rail closer to the tank(below the tank, and on a 45 degree angle, with the outlet on the uphill side if that makes since, most electric fuel pumps work better as pushers than pullers!!

  3. Electric pumps do better pushing than pulling, mount them as close to the tank as you can.

  4. If it's a electric fuel pump it should be in close proximity to the gas tank. HRP

Right now it's hooked to a rubber hose that goes to the metal line thingy with a gauge on it for a double pumper.
