I couldn't make it either. But found a alternative. Bangshift.com Has live video of the drags and a bunch of pics. Got to catch some of the drags when I came in. It is not like being there but it is better than nothing. Hud

The weather at the HRR couldn't have been better today, low eighties and sunny. The turn out was great, stands were packed. A lot of great cars turning in some fantastic times. Saw HAMB member Bobwop's Dodge Hang em High run today in the Hot Rod class. For anyone who hasn't been to the NHRA HRR you are really missing something. In my estimation the best event there is anywhere. The action is non-stop all day long. If something breaks they push it aside and keep on going. Beech Bend rocks with those covered bleachers.

 

dang it, I broke a rocker and was done for the event. Amazingly, by the time I got back to the pits, the girls came by on a golf cart with a great photo of my launch to sell me. How did they do that?

sure enjoyed meeting enloe and lippy. And great to see Gator and to hang with the famous Earl Schieb.

had a bit of a chat with rooman and checked out Goatroper's Olds powered Top Fuel dragster. one of my favorites!

and I am forgetting some...

 

Great pics. I was watching this on Bang Shift this morning, might have to get up early tomorrow (3am, NZ time, early) to watch the final rounds.

I'm a rookie and it has to be one of the best times I've had in a long time. Nonstop racing and the Bend with the covered bleachers is the best. I will be there from now on until I die and maybe afterwards. It is the best!

 

Just got done watching the Cacklefest on Bangshift. Very cool. It's unreal when your there and participating in it.

Thanks for giving me the honor of Pulling your dragster in the cacklefest! Its something ill never forget!! We had a wonderful time as we do every year but it makes it alittle more special to get to participate in the cacklefest!
