A few stuff this week is that first off is that I have found some of my first model cars I built a very long time ago, Just photos of them. The other thing is I'm building this elcamino and it did'nt come with the front grill. So does this camaro grille look good?

  2. Most recent mockup photos of the 1:16 scale '57 Chevy. Bodywork completed. Going to paint it metallic grey so primed it black. Ready to do the jambs then paint.

Good stuff there nerd, what's the go with the P/U left on bottom row.
Cheers and thanks for starting us off this week. Too early yet for the top end of the world, not even sparrow fart for them. Big Chevy, at first I though "Oh no, not fn flat black again" Then I read about the primer, nice to see that one in colour.

The pickup fat141 is just a stupid thing I created with lots of superglue and left over parts. Now I only have the 40 Ford cab. Rest is history.

Using drill bits to add steel shafts to the water pumps, crank pulley & generator on my 1:8 flattie.

Have to go get a few more bits to finish.
Really like the realism this adds to the front of the motor, even before paint.

That's a very nice tail light treatment on the back of this car!

The H.A.M.B. Plastic Model Builders sub-group is having a build-off of 1939-40 Ford cars and car-based trucks (pick-up, sedan delivery) with a July 15 deadline. You still have a month if you want to join in. The sub-group requires you to be a jalopyjournal.com member and also sign up (translation: if you haven't you can't see it). It's all free. Here's the link: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=105

One of my entries is a '39 sedan. I've just started chopping the top. It will be a real challenge to get it to look right.

I'm doing a daily write-up on it here, if interested.

I like the big scale cars due to more room to detail.
I cut some gaskets this evening to visually separate & define individual components on the motor.

I'm likein the vicky myself. Been wondering how much trouble mounting the AMT body to the Revell frame and fenders would be.
