Didn't pay attention to which two metering jets I took out of which two holes. I have two jets marked 395 and two jets marked 400 1) which set are considered the Primary Metering Jets? 2) which set are considered the secondary Metering Jets? 3)which set of holes in my carb are the PMJ...the two toward the back of the carb or the two towards the center. this is for a Edelbrock 1405 (600cfm) Thanks, Chuck
Primary jets are the ones nearest the front of the carb that the metering rods ride in. Secondary in the back of the float bowls.
According to the Edelbrock tuning manual the primary jets are .100 and the secondary jets are .095 on that model. The 1405 manual is online at the Edelbrock site.
To get the jet size of edelbrock carbs you subtract 300 from the part number so a 395 is a .095 and a 400 is a .100. Like mustagsix said the .100 or 400 goes in the front and the .095 or 395 goes in the rear. The front is the primary side and the rear is the secondary. Hope this helps.
Yeppers.......You guys were a huge help.....****oned her back up and she's runnin' like a top Thanks Hambers
