Well in around about way... was looking for a older dodge truck.. and ended up with something different.... Not to much info on them yet... but appear to be 1959 Fargo's with the poly 318s in them... both 1/2 tons.... One with big window and 1 with small window... Plans in making them a newer style truck.. So parts might be available... question is my VIN numbers really dont go into the web to figure out anything.... and is the big window (rear) a rare type ?? Im not new to trucks/cars.... but the older dodge ones I am... thanks !!
Welcome from South Korea, http://www.townwagon.com/powergiantregistry/index.php Here is a registry I believe (its been awhile) when you register your truck here is does a complete break down of the vin and it was damn accurate too. I couldn't find anything on my 57 Dodge's Vin till I went there. And the Big window cab (Customcab) is rarer than the small window (standard cab) being a pricier Item and in a farm truck most people would go cheap, while not Super rare it is rarer than the other and with how rare these trucks are already is definitely something to be proud of. Also the Custom cab option usually came with two sun visors instead of the driver only like the standard cab, it also had upgraded seat material (I don't remember what exactly it was) and a passenger side arm rest in the interior. Hope this helps if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Also I forgot to mention here is a link to a good thread on the HAMB where a lot of the Dodge/Fargo guys hangout and have lots of good referencing (pictures) and knowledge on these trucks. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=752370&highlight=dodge+fargo+trucks
Thanks all.. cleaned it up a little today.. seat is out... Now to find out how to post pics on here without on another website...
Well no info what so ever.... with these serials numbers.... 2140911757 for the 1 2140912694 for the 2nd one.. now just looking for a newer type frame... was looking at a durango (1999) 5.9 gas.... but its 4x4.... to much paper work... price was awesome.. and I could use parts for ours.... but no go...
You might want to look into a early dakota. Cheap, still available with 318 (or just bolt in a 360) and it gives you 5x 4.5 lugs so it looks stock from the outside and you have the same bolt pattern as your 59.
Hello from Virden Mb I am currently using a 92 2wd Dakota frame on a 51 Dodge panel truck it's was easy . Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
