Here's one that I found a few weeks ago.
Wildest of all is that I think it "May" be a car that my neighbour owned when I was a little kid in the early 60's. I used to help him wash it and I'd sit in it and pretend to drive it for what seems like hours now...
I doubt very much that there were too many 48 torpedo's around this area, especially in that colour...
Maybe I'll get around to searching the plate one day.

Thanks for relaying what sedan delivery is. Couldn't tell in person. Just took those pics yesterday, so salvation awaits them. Hadn't asked prices on either but each can probably be had.

I took my Brother Inlaw out to Walla Wa a bunch of years ago, To drop off him at College buddies Fram/Ranch . Right out side of town there's a place that is full of 30ish cars and parts. Tom told me the guy won't sell any of it.

In 1940 Chevy made less then 3000 sedan deliveries. I want to say 1500 but can't remember for sure. Looks like there's alot missing. The front doors are the same as a 4dr, the rear door is a tough find. I have a spare rear door.... Here is mine. Havn't had time to start on it yet....

I have lots of spare parts. I drive a 2dr, have a 2dr I used to drive that's a nice car that was wrecked and needs little to drive, and another 2dr with a nice floor for this delivery. Plus lots of spare front clips and parts. It will be a fun project, just have to get caught up on other work....

These must be the only head light lens in the US that haven't been smashed by a gun toting juvenile.

From the dash and cowl it's what's left of a '46-'48 Dodge (with a '58 Plymouth steering wheel).

I also see a '58 Edsel in front of it; any info on that? (If you go back there, could you do me a favor and take down the info on its data plate? It's in the driver's door jamb. I help out sometimes with Phil Skinner's Edsel registry.)
