It is an exceptional event! Cars from all over the US. HUGE raffle! Cars are lined up by year. Mostly stockers,but many Hotrods come too. One year a guy brought two Cobras! YES,real ones!!!
I would urge anyone who has not been to go. It used to be one the highlights of being in SoCal, for me. Bruce had his car there one year. If you don't know what original owner means you have to meet him and see his 'three window' with louvers by Von Dutch and heads by Kong, at least in the iteration I saw; because he changes stuff around over the years. And, original cars and pickups that can make a grown man weep, because he knows Santa Claus won't put one under his tree. If you ever felt a rush when you saw a Forty, go and OD.
I haven't owned a 40 Ford in over 20 years but before my Deuce obsession I have owned 2 sedans,4 coupes a convertible and a pickup and always wanted to attend this event. I still have a soft spot for 40's,,Bob,please post a lot of photos. HRP
Google maps tells me that's 1,607 miles (x2) that I won't get to log this year. That is one event that I definitely want to make, eventually.
I hear ya! There's two guys with Sportsmans that just make you cry! A blue one and a green one. Top of the line Ford,in my book!!!
Heres a little more info- its the 37th annual Forty Ford Day hosted by Forties Limited of Orange County. Sunday June 23 at La Palma Park in Anaheim (Harbor Blvd. just south of the 91 freeway. Open to all pre 1972 vehicles (not just Fords). Entry at the show is $30, it runs from 9-3, but you can get in before 9. Hand made trophies, food and drinks, raffle, DJ, bake sale. The club supports Childrens Hospital of Orange County. Spectators free

Thanks for the flyer. I'd love to go some year. Just don't know when I can drive my '40 the distance 2300 miles one way.... This is on my bucket list! For now I'll take a T Shirt (ordered today), that's the best I can do!
