I'd like to take a moment to give an attaboy to a HAMBer who has shown me he means business. Last week, 14JUN13, I ordered a wiring kit for my Mercury project from Capp's Hot Rods in Tarzana, CA. I spoke with Joe, the owner, personally seeking his recommendation for the specific kit I needed. I followed his recommendation, went to his website, and ordered the American Autowire Highway 15 kit using PayPal. The kit was on sale on Joe's site, and he shipped it to me the same day. I received it today, 19JUN13 at my home near Fort Worth, TX via FedEx. The kit is everything Joe said it would be, and looks to be very high quality. The kit is divided into bags of wires, switches, connectors, etc, with installation instructions for those particular parts included in the individual bags. In other words, if you open one bag at a time and follow the directions for that bag's wires and parts, you cannot go wrong. I am excited to get to work on the wiring project on my car. I am pretty mechanically inclined, but I have never wired a car before. With this kit I am confident I can do it right. I know we have lots of choices when it comes to who we buy parts and service from, and I prefer to give my business to people who appreciate it. So I think it's important to give a shout out when it's due. My experience with Joe at Capp's Hot Rods indicates that he appreciates the opportunity to provide good parts and great service.
