THX 36-3 window---have done quite a few--7 coupes, a convert, a woody a sedan del and a 2 dr sedan--just looked at a nice 35 3 window too--might be next-but need to use up all the 40 pts too
Looks like a hell of a start. I would be interested in seeing more pics of the headers and steering box area if you have any and any info regarding that.
There he goes again, embarr***ing me for not finishing my ONLY 40 coupe. Looking forward to another stellar '40 build from Tim!
I looked for you at the show, figured i would see your 40.I drove my 40 from Missouri out and back,no issues.
Bangngears---saw pics of your 40 there sent to me by a friend--have'nt been to that show in 25 yrs--haven't been in SoCal for 15 yrs-maybe next year.
THX for the comments--every 40 has it's challenges. Will be on this one full speed ahead. Told my wife this is the last one--she just laughed and said "you said that 4 40's ago" Just found a real nice orig 40 std coupe locally but still mulling it over-almost too nice to redo.
Good luck! I love those 40s....almost done with my first one Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Update--been on a few trips for the past month and a half. Now back on the 40. It lives! Just fired it and broke in the cam, etc. Must have been 120 in the garage with it running for a while-wife helped but we got too hot after a while and quit for the day. Now just hang the front clip and off to uph. But that will have to wait a week or so after another fishing trip. Would have been done by mid June if not for the vacations, etc. Oh well-- it's not a race--when done I just have to go find another 40 to fool with I guess-on the lookout now.
Well here it is not quite the middle of August and you are right there at the finish. Love the engine looks. Tim
