I logged on, clicked start a new thread and typed a message when I hit
submit it said I was not logged on? I am a slow typist and now must start over? Screw it to much trouble. This has happened before.

  2. Did you check at first to make sure you were logged in? Sounds like you were not.
Have you marked the "remember me" feature which should log you in each time.

Occasionally mine goes away for no obvious reason.

Evidently you didn't click the little box that says "keep me logged in" or something like that that keeps you logged on rather than kicking you out after a few minutes of inactivity. I used to do the same thing a lot before I figured it out.

Yuppers, as 47Ply said, click the remember me box.

I still do not understand. Is there a time limit for log on?

  5. I would look at that situation as a street race .... gotta go faster or figure out why you keep getting shut down.

    .... the challenge is on!

Normally, it will tell you that you are not logged on as soon as you click on "post reply". Why it let you type the message first is odd.

So how did you get the last few posts you submitted on this thread to work ?

If you're posting a long reply and you're using Windows try using Windows Notepad. Type up your response in Notepad first and then copy and paste it into the forum reply window. If you get logged out for some reason you'll still have your reply saved in Notepad. :D

It used to happen to me a lot before I got faster, and it is annoying. I would be logged in, and by the time I typed a lengthy paragraph, It booted me out. Where is this "keep me logged in" ****on?

This might make things a bit simpler, without using Notepad.

Type your response in the reply window.

Before you click "Submit Reply", press "Ctrl" & "A" on the keyboard to select all that you've typed. The text should be highlighted in blue.

Then press "Ctrl" & "C" to copy the selected text to the "clipboard". This is kind of a temporary storage area in Windows.

If you get logged off when you try to submit your reply, you will still have a copy of it stored on your clipboard.

Reopen a forum reply window, place your cursor in the window and press "Crtl" & "V" to paste the contents of the clipboard into the reply window. Click the "Submit Reply" ****on again and cross your fingers. :D

Read the topic line. (and there's no apostrophe needed in pluralization)

Go back to where you log in. Box for name, box for p***word. Immediately to the right is the secret click that keeps you onboard for a long, long time.

I don't have a keyboard. I have to use a Sears Penske dwell meter to sense or input the 1's and 0's via the red and green wires in the telephone jack. Slows me down, but I manage.

Sorry for the h***le. That problem happens when your browser is out of memory. Here is how you can beat it:

    1. Clear the cache and temporary internet files from your browsers memory.

    2. Next time you login, click the "remember me" box.

After that, you will be good to go!

    Thanks,

Just remember to ALWAYS cut the red wire last. Or is it NEVER cut the green wire first? I never did finish that mail order bomb-defusing cl***.
