    anyone have any info on these? Found in barn in Carolinas, its been there many years. its complete. The meter housing is cast aluminum, the brackets holding the ring around the sign are marked g&b

    Gilbert and Barker I believe; later shortened to "Gilbarco". They were perhaps the leader in gas station supplies.

    Google search should get a bunch of hits

    Man what a find. If you want you can put it on permanent display outside of my garage. I would tell anyone who asked that it was yours!

    I have to start looking for stuff, you guys prove day in and day out that it is still out there.

    Try Googling petroliana. It's a completely separate hobby. You will find lots of experts on this stuff.

    We had a Gilbarco lift in our shop but ended up having to phase it out. It didnt have all the safety features like the newer ones, but man I tell you it was one of the most heavy duty ones we had.

    That is an interesting piece that was probably in a Chevron station as it is an Atlas tire sign.
