Two things this week is that I painted my 29 Ford Roadster black instead of a purple colour. Also Im starting to build my Holden grey front engine dragster with Hop up parts on it. The first picture is what the 29 roadster first looked like and then the re-paint.

I got a couple. The green lil' cutie is an old build bought off Ebay in a group of 20 or so built- ups from Victoria Australia a few years back by Hot- rod dude & myself. We don't know the cat who built it (them). It's only been tidied up a lil' bit- it's basically barn- fresh ( abd pretty cool huh?!)

Next is my A40 project. Olds rear, Hydro, 392. F/E from AMT Street Freak '65 Nova AWB.

Last one is a G/MP VW Beetle. I'm setting this one up as a seventies 1/4 mile stocker. I've got the wheel/ tire/ suspension set-up finally sussed, after a lot of finessing over a few years. Everything fits & stance is *****in'. Next is to research & build a killer Weber'ed engine/ driveline. RHD Interior will be a lot of work- body will be cl***ic 70's Cal- Bug style. I love the Fujimi Porsche 356B wheels & ZX Michelins + American slicks ( unsure of ,origin- but there 1/25 which scale out perfectly as VW- type slick size.

Still need to tweak the way they lay against the side of the block a little & get the collectors built.

Here's the paper template for the the base plates.

    Thanks, guys. :)

The head bolts are still the molded stuff.
I stripped the chrome & sprayed heads & intake with an aluminum rattle can & then buffed everything down with an ultra fine foam scrubber pad to get rid of the "shine".
Used a nylon bristle, toothbrush type, detail brush to get down in between the fins to dull it a bit as well.

Wanting just an "everyday" driver motor look for it.

Plans are to machine down the plastic bolts & add micro nuts on studs to finish the heads...just haven't ordered the hardware yet...that stuffs pretty expensive...gotta save my lunch money for a few weeks...

Thanks I bought the big rig when I was around Ten years old And is one of the few I still have from that time. I rebuilt it two years ago. I am 52 now so it has been around awhile. Darrell
