I love radirs .... good things are worth waiting for. .... and btw, most folks don't really think the service at hospitals is that great .... just saying.
Delays are sometimes unavoidable but that doesn't make not telling the customer the truth right. Just give me the straight story and let me make a decision from there. Some companies feel they have to keep stringing the customer along so they don't lose the order but what they don't realize is that they are actually ******* the customer off worse than telling him the real story. God Bless baseball, apple pie, Chevrolet and Radir Wheels. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=619748
I went thru the same deal with him several years ago and it seems like he is still blaming the same poor guy in California, at least he is consistent. I believe Rocket makes wheels that look an awful lot like them and cheaper too I believe. But anyway you look at it Radir's are the best lookin.
The wheels are the best and they are made in this country. Sure you could order some look alike thats made in china or you can wait for the best. I would wait for the best. Just my thoughts. Ronnieroadster
Thats why you order them in winter when your not driving em n then you dont care! Cool as hell though!
Yep. Join the club or just wait. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=798526&highlight=radir+wheels
If you think you are getting screwed by Rich, apparently you have never been "serviced" by any hospital. until then you don't know the meaning of "bent over backwards"....
Four weeks is a heartbeat at my age. I remember the anticipation while I was waiting for my mail-order Red Ryder BB-gun to show up. I don't remember how long I had to wait, but looking back on it, the waiting was half the fun.
the rims are worth it. i work in a hospital to and yes they harp about service. my department is the cath lab. we do about 40 procedures a day. as good as our well oiled machine is delays occur. drs.late pt didnt show on time elevator out. no iv access you get the idea. it really may not be richs fault. his comany is small so his orders to the factories are small. if you got a couple of hundred thousand layin around to expand inventory im sure he would like to hear from you. that way everyone could have their wheels next day.
I had to wait 8months for whitewall slicks and 12 months for spindle mount 12 spokes. There were words, it got ugly.
Thanks for the advice,.....I will keep the order for now. As for the wise guys who chimed In,........you have missed the whole point I was trying to make. Within reason,......I really don't have an issue as to how long the wheels take to get here,.....my coupe is not even on the road yet. What I do have a problem with,......is when they tell me one thing and do something else. I was told my size wheel was being made as we speak and he should have it by the end of the week. That not working out in itself is not a crime,....delays happen. But,......when I call you and ask you what the delay is,..... I expect an honest answer. If you wise guys disagree or have a problem with that,....then that's on you.
lets all be happy someone out there is actually making a quality product we can all use. no one else has stepped up to the plate with anything that matches radirs quality yet. i can see your point on the wait. be patient they are worth the wait.dont forget to place your order for some slicks. the slicks work great and do they ever hook.
Im sure he is waiting on them SAME AS YOU. If hes told "we are working them on them right now" by his supplier, then he gave you AN HONEST ANSWER. Whats he supossed to do? Tell the guy making them to stop everything and get on yours? Must be your first car build. Older guys know the game. Working in the medical field, you go through the same thing. I have made many appointments with doctors. I get there, on time or earlier and what do I get to do?????? Same thing you are getting to do

I don't think that's too much to ask really. Shouldn't have to "play the game". The man is a customer and is paying the asking price. That en***les him to respect and a real answer, not some watered down line.
