Just thought it would be cool to see the variety of places people drive from to get to the greatest drag race event(in my opinion) in the country. I'll even throw in a 6-pack of Stewart's Root Beer to the fellow or lady that drives the farthest in their hotrod or daily. Only catch is you have to come and get it at the drags as I will be keeping it cold for you. Just look for the organgrinder's car and I'll be in the same spot.

I'll check the thread on Wed. before the drags and the winner will be chosen and posted on that day. So post where you're driving from, the mileage and if it's in your hotrod post a picture of that.

I'll start by saying I'm driving from Colorado Springs, CO, 664 miles one way according to google maps. Sedan sadly comes on a trailer but, hey it's hard to fit a family of 5 in a chop top '29 Model A sedan and the luggage.

I'm in DFW. I'm gonna guess Flamedabone from South Carolina or Zman from NC? or perhaps the west coast contingency.

    About 180 miles one way.

Hopefully I can drive the '63 and not the daily beater this year! :p

Looking good. Get in touch with those that you know travel some good distance and have them post it.

If driving in circles gets a win, maybe someone could just keep circling the block until they win! ;)

Only 538 miles from Mississippi for me and Mr and Mrs Kracker (Kracker 36). We're hitting the swap meet 80 miles east of Joplin on Friday enroute to the Friday evening throwdown. Can't wait.

My drive is a little over 1500 miles each way in a straight shot. we're taking some scenic routes, so we'll probably put in a little under 3500 miles round trip this year.

Of course. I did in 2010 during a 6000 mile trip after taking it to Bonneville. Won't be any different this year. ;)

Western Pa. 966 miles per MapQuest, via 1970 Chevelle, 'new old car'. Might back road it a bit which will add miles of course. Will back out if too hot, no AC per black car/interior.

So far the General is in the lead. Yeah Bob K will have like 4000+ miles on the odometer by the time he pulls into Joplin. But it needs to be posted here to be considered.
