Here is a clean 56 from Hot Rod Reunion last year,

So, don't know the history on this one, but the guy I got it off of wanted to build a custom... When he got it, it had a 312, automatic, dana 44 with steep gears and tall springs in front, also had a teardrop scoop on hood and radiused wheelwells. he sold off the 312 and trans, started tearing down to do sheetmetal repairs and planned on a 390 transplant. I traded him out of it to try and preserve it as a gasser! 'course too many projects, not enough time, but figured it'd be killer towing in behind my '57 ranchero (that I hope finish someday!)

 

Oh yeah! I can see that stuffed with a side oiler and top loader. Glad you're keeping it the way it is.

 

Man, as I started strolling down this post the first picture I thought the car was PINK and black, I thought wtf! On a gasser? Finally realized it's just the red from the car next to it reflecting. I had a pink and black Vicky years ago, got covererd with primer asap.

I hate this but I cant keep em all! mine is available as well! blown BBC with a jerico DR-4 PUMP GAS! $14K rolling or $28K turn key? top notch race components no expense spared! 502-387-2423 "Tadd" $ make a reasonable cash offer and come get it! I got a new project and need the room will sell motor separate only if car sells first! makes huge power and is a crowd magnet! also is very streetable! drives very nice!

 

That car is from my home town!!!And the guy still has it.It was powered by a 427 tunnel port with a Toploader 4 speed.He still has the motor too,complete with Ford tunnel ram intake with a really weird XP part number stamped into it....

 

Saw this one today at the all Ford show at Ford headquarters.

Just bought a 55 2 door to build, i've got a 53 Dodge mayfair down in the weeds so thought it was time to have something with a little more altitude!! pics coming soon.........
