Trying to find a company that offers rebuilt power brake booster with a rebuilt master cylinder for a 56 Cadillac. I found one company and called but both phone lines had a busy signal for the past three days. Any help would be appreciated.

there is a rebuild on ebay you send it to the guy and he returns it rebuilt you pay shipping to get it to him. I think it was 245.00 for the rebuild which isnt bad, he said he would re sleeve the cylinder if it was needed. I have a 56 cadillac and when i need it rebuilt i will probably use this option. Oh and don't use white post they are really high and all they do is send it to someone else to rebuild it and make a profit off it. Your other option is to put a more modern brake booster in place of the old one. Good luck and if you use the ebay option let me know how it turns out for u.

Guys like Ed Strain (Florida) and another up in Oregon can do the job. But what is wrong with the booster? I believe you have the Bendix Treadlevac, and the booster seldom goes bad, the master cylinder kits are cheap, as the master cylinder is a displacement type cylinder where the only items to wear out are the rear seal and the poppet valve. Both are in the repair kit. You can even get the leather seal that goes in the booster from guys like Kanter. Rebuild it yourself and $$$save.
