Donnie is one of the nicest guys I've ever talked to! Answered all my questions and helped with measurements. He's a one man show and probably doesn't have the time to make just the belt line for you. Witch from what I hear he told you that. I don't think it's right for you to come on here and bash him after only one phone call and him telling you he don't have to time to build the parts you want.

Man up call him back apologize and order the full quarter. He makes the best parts I've ever seen and used

Thanks for all your support Fellas. I just got off the phone with Don, he gave me a call this afternoon while I was at work and left a message. So I called him on my way home and we had a discussion about what I said here.

Don and I have come to the conclusion that what took place was the cl***ic case of a misunderstanding. Don told me he could understand how I could have taken what he said the way I did. He was just trying to help me build a better car and because we are both strong minded builders, it came across harsh.

I am very appreciative that Don took the time to straighten out and clarify this situation, as not many people would have. Don is a great fabricator I would never say anything bad about his products and after this experience I would not hesitate to purchase/recommend his products.

On a lighter note. I think I will do a build thread on this old girl so stay tuned. But your going to have to give me a couple months I still need to come up with some quarter panel pieces hahaha :)

  5. That's exactly the scenario with my 28 tudor. I have had a couple guys lambaste me for wrecking a perfectly good old Model A.... and they refused to believe me when I tell them it was offered to a vintage car club and they turned it down because it was too rough.

Props to him for calling and squaring up. True sign of a good cat. Hope it all comes out the way you want it.

I have a 34 5-window at Don's shop to get 2" channelled floor and patch panels. He is a very busy man and is constantly building the different panels that he builds for the 3 and 5 window coupes that he has made the dies to make. I can understand that to build a one off part for something other than what he already builds would be a big job. He only does what he can do that will replace the piece perfectly. So maybe you can understand that he would have to have a lot of requests to do what you are asking for. Thanks, John.

Yeah, but if ya go around cutting up good DIVCO hoods to save a junky old Ford, you're just gonna whiz off the DIVCO purists!

    Later, *****6

Glad to hear that it got straightened out and 4EVER18 you are correct that Don does some of the best panels around for 33/34 Fords and your seat frames are also equally as nice.
