female dovetail door stricker

    hello does anyone know how to change a female door striker on a 37ford is ther mjust 2 rivets holding in in door jamb please send to roadster601@aol.com

    If it is the same as the sedan I had you take a flat screwdriver and push them in one at a time. They are held in with a spring when you push in and move each one to the middle they come out. Install is just the reverse

    The ones I come across are also spot welded; besides being riveted.

    I've found that the repo dovetail ***emblies are not too good. The repair kits are not much either; but can work.

    Seemed best to repair the original bracket in place and just put new guts in it.

    If your original parts are not too bad, sometimes you can just remove and switch the parts around and put the unworn inner edges to outside.
