I'll be there in my off topic 69 GMC. Or you may see me pulling my son around in his "hot rod" wagon as he calls it.

 

I'm planning on attending with my 55 Chev. This will be my first time there. Do you have to wait until Fri. to get all your stuff at the Fair grounds or can you get the "packet" etc. at the host Marriott on Thurs?

 

You can get the stuff at the fairgrounds on thursday. Check the GGs website.

 

You can get your packet on Thursday but I thought you still had to go down to the fairgrounds to get it. Maybe someone can check that on their registration confirmation letter.

A few other events going in around town if you get in town early.
There is the usual kickoff party at the Marriot in West Des Moines (host hotel)
Wednesday cruise night at Bennigans on Merle Hay Road. Kind of a pre kickoff party.
Last that I know of is a small show at Urbandale High School on Thursday 1-4pm.

I will be pulling in Thursday afternoon and relaxing with some cold ones at the host hotel.

 

Ill be down on Thursday and camping with "bull" and "towaholic". My favorite show of the year, I just hope the weather doesn't get as nasty as it did on Friday night last year!! I'll be in my 54 in my profile pic.

 

I am driving the 40, probably have to miss the meet and greet, have to take ticklets till 1

 

Friends and I will be there. 32 3 window, Green 50 Merc, Black 47 chevy Delivery and Red 37 Slant.

The weather is looking great. Friday 83, Saturday 85, and Sunday 85. Partly sunny most of the time. Last year on Saturday was terribly hot and humid.

 

I'll be there in my roadster with a bunch of friends from Omaha and Lincoln.
