Anyone have a way to age stainless. Tried to find some metal hood parts but could only find stainless pieces. Want to age them or I'll paint them. Any ideas?

I don't know of any way to get stainless steel to weather, you might be able to distress it with steel wool to knock down the shine or bury it for a few months. HRP

Hit it with ospho. Leaves it with a brushed look. Did it by accident.

Scuff them with a new scotch bright pad, do not use steel wool unless they are going to be painted. If steel wool is used the pieces of steel wool left on the stainless steel will rust.

  5. Fine sandblasting, or Garnet blasting, if you dont mind a little texture.
