Replacing the floor in a '36 Ford 5/W with a customer bought *****in replacement floor, which way do the floor ribs face up or down? Instructions appear to show them up while the stock floor I believe were down. I know the *****in is not an exact replacement and would not be my first choice but it came with the project. Thanks!

I believe that they go up and also would be stronger that way, any weight that is being applied would have to go against the rib.

STOP! turn the welder off - Yep just checked some old pictures of a floor I had installed and the ribs were down, Don't listen to me. I am getting old and do not remember

I always install floor pans with the ribs down,,most factory floor pans are stamped that way. HRP

  4. Down,so they wont "show" through carpet, and a small drain hole on the ends is a good idea as well....
