Yeah I don't post much, mostly read. Anyway I need the measurements of a 40 ford pickup cab at the widest and front to back. Height not an issue.

Will one fit in the bed of an original 40 ford? For transport purposes only.

If someone out there can help out, I award 100 internets.

    Thanks

5ft at the rear at the body line, 4 ft at the front, 57 front to back I carried mine in an Silverado I don't know about a 40 bed, but I would think not because the bed is narrower than the cab.

  3. It depends on what you mean by fit. What won't go in will usually go on!;)

The bed is about 46 inches wide so that won't work. It would be a bit spooky but you could scavenge up a few pallets that you could set in the bed to block the extra cab up above the bed rails and then use some hell for good tie down straps. It wouldn't look any worse than what Tin bender posted.

I may be on a wild goose chase but I have a remote chance at a 40 pickup and two extra cabs. I figured I could throw one cab in my truck bed (F350) and was hoping to figure a way to get the 2nd cab on the trailer with the whole pickup.
Oh and it's a 400 mile drive so not something I want to make two trips for.
Thanks for the help, it's a start.
