Welcome to the world of x-frames .... that a damn nice one. I don't know about slamming it though .. you consider steelies and dog dishes? Either way, a good looker.
My Father's first employee at his service station car was a 1960 Impala with a 348 and 4 speed. ( 1961) and I was 15 yrs old. The parts stores didn't have parts delivery back the so we had to pick up the parts. He would use the Chevy and I rode with him. He use to floor it and and power shift the gears. WOW !! Great memories.
Looking at the old photos of the cars in the late fifties and early sixties, that drop is dead nuts. I have grown to appreciate the mods of the era in which the car was born. I like it. We had a 4 door when I was a kid, 60 models are one of my favorites.
Had on just like it. Was the first new car I ever bought. Drove it up to the top of Pikes Peak. What a trip.
Over the years I've had a '58 , '59 and '61 ....never found a decent '60 but you sure did . That's a beauty ! T
In the upper mid-west dropped in the rear would of had cruiser skirts, dual rear antennas, flipper front hubcaps, dice on the rvm, or a graduation t***el, and maybe side pipes. (greasers or hoods). dropped in front, duals, chrome engine components, cragers, or chrome reverse or "mags", gear or motor heads. That's not to knock your choice, just sayin. All of 'em woulda had white walls. The car is to kill for!
