    Just a thought.

Seems like daily someone is asking why they can't reply to a cl***ified ad.

When you try to reply you get the message:

"USER NAME, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

Why not just have the error message read:

"USER NAME, Can you not reply to cl***ified ads? That is by design. We want to keep the cl***ifieds fair by giving each ad it's due at the top of the forum. If you have a question about an ad or want to make a purchase, simply private message the user who placed the ad. You can do that by:
Step 1: Click on the username of the person who created the ad.
Step 2: Click on "Send Private Message"

    Thanks a ton,
    Ryan"

Maybe that will stop the "why can't I reply" questions...

I asked the same question months ago … never answered

Sure seems like it would solve it but what do I know? … its probably a standard message in the base format of these forums that cant be changed.

It would be mildly interesting to know
