Help. ID this cowl..

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 2tall2beahotrodder, Jul 8, 2013.

  1. Can anyone tell me what year and make this cowl is? My friend Jeff Yeagle is starting a to build me the back half from a cowl i picked up at an estate sale years ago. The estate sale had many cadillacs (i was going down that road until I noticed the side vent)
The body line from the side of the cowl has a curve that peaks into the center of the hood..

Plans are to build a tub/ phanton..

    Thanks !

I'd say '29 Chrysler. Some other Dodge & Plymouths of that era had those reverse opening vents, but the center peak reveal is a different shape. The small hole above the upper front edge of the vent is for a side mount spare support.

I think Fisher build bodies for mainly GM cars. How big is it relative to say a model A? I have a '30 chev and its about the same size as a Ford. If its bigger it could be Buick or some other fancy GM car IMO

  9. Its 20 inchs longer than a model A. I did a search of a 29 caddy, and it looks similar. Dont have any pictures of dash, the project is out of state for me..
