Hey all, just got a 55 Ford Fairlane this past weekend, and was doing some cleaning and found a wire that isnt connected to anything, and am wondering if anyone can help out.
It is paired with the temp sensor wire, I noticed that the oil pressure sender dosnt have a wire connected to it, but this wire is a keyed power source, and I am not sure it should be powered if it were for the temp sender?

Here is a pic of the wire, and where it is in the harness, any help would be great. And thanks in advance.

    Chris.

I believe the wire from the oil light is powered. Key "on" - power flows to the light - but the ground side is routed to the block switch. Pressure opens the switch and kills the light.
