I guess the picture describes it all.

You guessed it- bees. Thousands of them. You see where the tape is? Yeah theyre in their so good honey was coming out of trim holes. And the best response i can get from anybody I tell about my plight is..."Can I get some of that honey?" all i can do is laugh. I love this car so im puttin up a fight. Beekeeper is suppose to come out Wed-Thurs to try and smoke them out. It was hilarious the guy that was pullin it out with the tractor said the interior of the car turned black, then he kinda teared up and said "Thousands a bees man,...and i am highly allgeric to bees" So I guess he was kinda shoke up by the ordeal. I was shoke up because i got a truck and trailer spent 50 bucks in gas and came back home carless. But not all was lost, Ive got a name for her- Lucy "the beekeeper". Just thought I'd share and if this has ever happend to anyone else, your not alone. Adios.

Believe it or not, honey does not smell sweet at all when it's in the hive. It's nasty.

    I bet there's 15,000 - 25,000 bees in there.

Its a recent purchase, I love thes cars. When i pick it up I'll take some more pics of it and some more good stuff thats in the boneyard. I might have to use the brake cleaner idea for the straglers left behind. I read that as soon as all the bees are gone i should clean everything up asap bc other bees are attracted to old food and nest. But, thats funny about them "flying" out of the vent

Actually smoke will drive them away. Bet there is some nasty rust where they built their comb..........good luck with that.

FYI if you call a beekeeper, they will come take care of that for you!

they used to hive in the cars at my parent's house back in WVa. They really loved my dad's 68 ford dump truck. You could go down there, and knock on the hood, and hear what sounded like Hendrix adjusting his amp. Carb cleaner will drop them too. We got pretty good at cleaning them out, but it was an ongoing fight it seemed, they really love cars.

Definitely do the brake parts cleaner thing. I swear it damn near vaporizes them. Strap it to the trailer and go fluing down the interstate for a bit. The others will vacate the premises.

When I started working on my 59 Bel Air I found a whole COLONY of ants living in a mouse nest INSIDE the frame.

  20. The UglyTruck(tm) car hauler I bought had a pretty bad problem with wasps. there was a dozen nests all over the place. In the tubing for the bed, in the doors, under the hood, under the dash, fenders, under the bed....

Since it was the UglyTruck - brake cleaner and a lighter was applied to the bed, doors, and fenders. Just brake cleaner was used on the interior parts. Killed all the buggers, and it only took one can.

All I can say is I hate wasps...and it was a good thing I was replacing the doors and fenders anyways.

there is an old motorhome we impounded a while back in my towing yard, and when we got the title in on it i walked over to it to mark on the windshield that we "had title" and i heard this noise but couldnt figure it out, when i opened the door there was a 5 foot high 4 foot wide beehive inside of this motorhome and they exited through one of the top pop up plastic vent thingy's that was broke, needless to say it was the first time in my life i ran sooooo hard and screamed like a school girl, cuz i REALLY pissed them off when i opened the motorhome door!

lol...the best part is, all of my staff (7 drivers and 2 office staff) were all hiding inside the office cuz they saw me running and screaming...lol.. and the dark cloud chasing me!) yeah ....we all hung out for a looooong time that day in the office! ha ha ha ha ha ha ahhhhhh good times!
