When changing an oil pan gasket on a 1950 Chevy car, what steering parts need to move out of the way and possibly come off the car? Also, if the wheels have to be turned to one side, what side do I turn them to? Any help would be great. Thank you.
Remembering as a youngster & always adjusting the rods on those things, it's only necessary to unbolt the center link from the crossmember & let it hang loose to allow the pan to be removed. That's after the car is in the air.
