I just finished watching a really interesting 1958 car movie. well I was interested because of the cars, the acting was horrible! I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the cars, particularly the RPU towards the end of the move. It was called Hot Rod Gang, and stared Jody Fair, and John Ashley. I did some screen shots of the three cars I was interested in. I found it kinda weird that some of the cars had no front fenders but still kept the rears. Looked good on the RPU not sure about the roadster. If anyone has any info i'd appreciate it!
I watched that too and just skipped any scenes that didn't have a car in them. It's a good movie that way.
I believe the first photo is of the Pete Henderson roadster when it was owned by Ralph Guldahl. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
one of the best of the 50s hot rod bunch of movies I love this one ... R.I.P.. Steve Drexel my pal forever ( Star of hot rod gang 1958 )
Some states required rear fenders only. Connecticut's first fender laws required rear fenders only they later went to all 4 it was supposed to protect the car behind you from road spray and rocks.
I haven't looked, but it might be interesting to look up that movie in http://www.imcdb.org Internet Movie Cars Database and see what they list.
