Glad you enjoyed Good-Guys Des Moines. I go every year. I was glad to get my 1956 Buick wagon there again this year. Last year I felt like I survived, this year I felt like I participated. We were humbled to receive a Rodders Rep award on Sunday. I've owned the car for 10 yrs worked on it some for 7 yrs and worked really hard on it the last 3yrs. This is my first project. Took the body off the ch***is, did body work, straightened stainless and, well you all know what it takes. I had a great helper who taught me even more. Bob Provin. Help also from Scotty Walker and Marv Jacobs. As you all know a rookie needs help and I really appreciate these guys. Glad you like the car and Thanks for posting it. Some day I have to learn how to do that too.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> <o></o> Cheers<o></o> Mike<o></o>
Ooooohhh, that #8 Miller Ford gives me goosebumps. Saw the real deal at Speedy Bills on Friday. We drove right by Des Moines early Saturday, but wanted to get home. Looks like a great show!
Your black Buick wagon was a great looking car as was the '49? black Cadillac. My taste runs to the early cars but good looking cars still catch my attention and I knew many people on the H.A.M.B would like it also . Good job on the wagon.
Of course I should have thanked my wife. She encouraged me regularly. At times daily. She loves rides in the evening in the big old Buick.
Hemi32, we also posted a bunch of pictures from the Deuce Doins at Goodguys. Search on "Deuce Doins Goodguys" and follow the link to The Deuce website.
M Duffus, is that your black wagon in the coverage above. really nice car, would love to see more pictures of it.
