'32 3-window has got to be the coolest. '32 is unique. No other model year shares that body. The 3-window gives a glimpse at the beautiful '33-'34 bodies to come with the suicide door that might be overlooked by a novice not paying attention, but still has that cl***ic, golden-era grill shell. The painted grill shell of a '32 ford, an Auburn, L-29 Cord, DuPont, Nash and and a few others just seems special to me. The '33-'34 are also beautiful, and probably the prettiest Fords ever built next to the '32. It is more challenging to make a '33-'34 look right without fenders, but I've seen it pulled off, and they look good, too.
Bib Overalls pretty much has it right to me. My first choice would be for a '32 but I like fenderless. I'm not super excited about most 33/4 highboys. ps- I'd probably trade most of my collection for a nice example of any of them though! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
. Thankfully that's a decision I don't have to make - I'm blessed enough to own both. My deuces This ones for sale... My '34 For a take-no-prisoners hot rod, I like a deuce 5-window (slightly biased??). But I do think that a full-fendered '34 roadster is about as good as it gets. .
Wow I didn't think it was going to go this way.Are all the 32 guys waiting to post late. I love all 33/34's coupes then roadsters then tubs.Darrell
bothh cool but my all time favorite is a full fendered deuce roadster. but what do i know im a kustom guy
'33-'34 3-window coupe all the way! As far as a roadster is concerned, I'd prefer a '32 over a '34...but then again, I'd like a '29 roadster body on a deuce frame just as much. Yep, Model A.
Personally,I'm happy Deuces are falling out of favor,,maybe the prices will fall and the 33/34 Fords will become the more expensive car to buy and build. HRP
I've had both but the 33-34 styling is sooooooooo much more advanced with it's pinched cowl, rounded door openings and coke bottle shape. To me, a 32 is just a stylized model A while a 33 is a completely new design. I might be a little biased though.
Right now my garage is full with a 32 fordor and a spare 32 frame... But I wouldn't say no to 33-34. My favorite...32-33-34
Take a 34 3W coupe. Remove the fenders and running boards. Chop the top 4 inches. Lay the A pillers back. Channel it 5 inches. Move the gas tank inside the trunk and add a rolled pan. Louver the hood and the trunk. Last and most important, replace that overly elegant, delicate 34 grille (which lacks a shell) with a 32 grille and shell, but lay it back like a 34 and you have a hot rod better looking than anything you can do with a deuce. That's what I did.
roadster- draw 3W coupe- 33-34 5W coupe- 32 Sedans- draw highboy- Draw (equally as awful) fenders for me Truck- 33-34 Sedan Delivery- 33-34
I think photos are the best way to win this argument. I was one of the guys that said '32, and I have to admit that is a great looking coupe.
