Hey I need some help just picked up a 55 plymouth savoy 2 door. It has no front suspension. what years also have same set up to pull parts from. Thank for any info want to get this thing back on the road. Jeff
55 and 56 dodge and Ply are all the same. the dodge has a bigger sway bar, other than that their the same. disc brakes can be made using "rusty hope" Hes a guy here on the Hamb, that makes kits and list of part numbers to build. MoPar to ya!
My understanding is that all 1941 thru to 1956 Plymouth front suspension is essentially the same basic parts.......upper & lower A arms use the same inner/outer pivot bushes and pins the lower arms have a different mounting point for the front sway bar but you should be able to cobble the front end together using parts from any of these years, with even the stub axles, brakes and knuckles being able to be fiddled with in a pinch.....but NO parts from 57 up are suitable..........andyd
Contact Big M auto in Williams CA. He specializes in Mopars and knows his stuff and most likely has all the parts you need http://www.bigmauto.com
