Fuzz, there is no floor whatsoever and the rear subrails had been hacked out with a torch to clear a ch***is Z in a previous life. That fact + an inch narrower at the rear crossmember = no worries! I took some leftover model T roadster rear subrails that I removed from my unibody T project and bent them up with the shrinker/stretcher to make some new rear subs to follow the kickup on this frame.

I hope they're as round as the look good, Jon!

    Yea right Matt, haha thanks!

I narrowed up the '41 dash and started fitting it tonight. Last time I did this job I welded the dash to the stock dash rail. But.... this time I have no dash rail. I'm going to just meld this dash with the cowl and weld it all together. I never took that dash out of the old car anyhow...

Thanks fellas, I came to my senses and decided not to stress out and beat the **** out of myself for the next month only to NOT have this done in time for the salt anyhow. Too much customer work, too many other obligations, and not enough time to make it happen... ROG is a more realistic and less hectic goal.

I picked up an old battle scarred Halibrand 201 at an auction last weekend, so it's now officially gonna be all old junk. I've been really going out of my way to only use NOS or good used parts on this car. Aside from the tires and wires...

I cannot believe at the pace in which you work. There's absolutely no way I can make ROG and I started much earlier then you mean while ROG is your relaxed date to get it running. So stoked for you though, it's looking killer. Can't wait to see this one scream across Wildwood Beach while Snookie and "The Situation" are fist pumping you from the side lines. IT's going to rule. :D:D

Thanks boys, I'm pretty stoked on it too, picked up a few other parts. A VERY well-used deuce grille insert that will fit it's current state perfectly, a bunch of NOS USA made tie rod ends, a deuce headlight bar, and set of '40 wheels with the old pinstripes still on them.

although I must admit that I haven't spent much time on it this week...

A few weeks ago I picked up a V8 '50 ford 2dr to fix up and sell to help pay my stepdaughter's college tuition. I've been "sprucing" it up with some new floors/rockers, radiator, fuel pump, carb, brakes, tires, tune-up, etc... and various other **** that a car that has sat in a barn for the last 20 years may need. Gonna be a nice, solid, moving, stopping builder that I'll be advertising on here soon...

sheesh... sometimes I wonder what the hell I'm doing, ha!

Well since you are not going to make the cut off date with the roadster. You might con Ken out of the 575 car for the trip since he is driving Georges this year.

Dustin and I will be splitting driving duties in the delivery this time, maybe Ken will get nostalgic for the '40 let us take over ol' number 55 for a few miles...

Sweet! Glad you are getting there one way or another. I'd say you could ride along with Bart too but I don't know if you'd fit. Ha ha
I like the new look of the 55 car!
