As 36-3Window said. I used a standard Delco and everthing lined up fine once I got the correct water pump pulley. The number for the one Zip's gives you is available from a GM dealer but for like $90.00. I bought an aftermarket chrome one I found online from a place in California for like $25 and sandblasted and painted it. PM me and maybe I can find the receipt this evening and get you the P/N and the contact info.

The Zips riser calls for a 6 cylinder water pump, not a sbc water pump.

these are the correct pulleys for the zips.HRP

    Lower pulley Chevrolet # 3850838
    Pump pulley # 3995642

  10. You did.

Search Zips here. There a LOT of other tips from some of these guys that have had many of thier setups.

I have been using the ZIPS raised water pump risers since the late 1970's.
I have never had the line up issue you are having. :) I do have a Power Master alternator on my 32 3W ... but just a regular old everyday 1970 Chevelle alternator that fits perfect.

I suggest another alternator. I have used ones off a early Vega with great sucess.:D

I bought a used zip's riser and am gathering parts to install on my '38 . I noticed there are two types of clutch fans - one that is temp controlled and one that is speed controlled . Which one would be the better one ? I am planning on having air conditioning if that matters .

temp controlled is the better of the 2.

    RIP DR.
